Card for Throwback Thursday on CreativeTimeForMe's Blog

Here's my try at this challenge, I used the leaf and think bubble icons from Create a Critter, and made a card on my Gypsy by welding a tag from Celebrations, and the words from Alphalicious! I stamped the leave's face with a stamp from the Monster Mash Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps. Of course, I distressed the edges with CTMH's chocolate ink!

Imagine that!

I was so psyched to get my Cricut Imagine today, and was quickly frustrated and disappointed! To start off it needed an update, fine. It took about 20 minutes. Then, it did the printing alignment sheet 11 times!!! I guess there was a glitch or something, because after it printed out all of the lines and the little bird (like every hp printer does), it would tell me there was no mat in the machine. So, I would have to reload the mat with paper, and do it again!! There was no getting around it, the machine wouldn't respond until I put in the mat again. After all of that (and wasting how much of that expensive ink), it did the cutting alignment job. That was no problem! Then I cut my first images:

Those were sooo cute! Then I realized I can color any of my existing cartridges, so I decided to make the heart bag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More:

As you an see, the print was way off (I guess it was actually the cutting that was off)! And I couldn't fix it, until much later when I did ANOTHER alignment page!!! Then I noticed that the gray strip on the front of the Imagine was coming off! I know later we will be able to switch out these gray parts for other colors, but it wasn't coming off because it was removeable - it was broken!

Anyway, here's another try at using the same cartridge to make a little purse (about 1 inch!!):

Okay, so the purse and tag are darling! I called in for an exchange on this machine! Hopefully the new one is much better!!! BTW, thanks for letting me buy this new toy, hubby!

Easy Envelope Album

Hi, all! I just wanted to share this envelope mini album I made using four business envelopes (4 1/4" x 9 1/2"), two pieces of coordinating cardstock, and some paper embellishments. I did use my Zutter Bind-it-All, but you can just as easily use eyelets and ribbon or rings. If people are intereted I will post how to make it. I was really happy that with two sheets of paper and some envelopes I could make an awesome book!

Front page (which I haven't finished yet):

Here are the first and second page. In the second page there is a pocket at the top to add a tag or phot mat.

Here are pages three and four. Page four has a pocket on the side which you will see in the next picture.

Here is the back of page four (which is page five), with the photo mat sticking out of the pocket:

Here is page six, whic has a flap that also has a small pocket:

Here is a shot of pages five and six with mats tucked in and flap closed:

Here are pages seven and eight. Page eight has a pocket on the side:

And here's the photo mat coming out of page eight's pocket:

Here are pages nine and ten. I lost some steam here at the end, and just need to add a tag to the pocket on page nine (I placed a diecut in there to show that it is a pocket), and add some journaling or a small pic on page ten.

And here's the back of the book!

Thank You Post-Its

I made these cute little post-it holders for my first friends who ordered from my new Close To My Heart business! They were so nice to support me and purchase some cool products! I used the Hooligans paper pack, white and black embossing powders, sticky notes from Target, and CTMH stamps. I added a little calendar on the inside to add to the functionality (and cuteness) of the projects!
